Background Information
HYBE LABELS is home to some of the big names in K-pop such as BTS, TXT, Seventeen, New Jeans and many more. Under Bang Si-hyuk's leadership, HYBE Labels has become one of the most successful and influential entertainment companies in South Korea and has been credited with revolutionizing the K-pop industry. As youtube became the main platform to share music videos and various content from the artist, I was trying to identify the trends and performance of each artist in the company
Objective
Identify trends and patterns in HYBE LABELS youtube channel. Data scrapped from HYBE LABELS official account using Youtube API
Insights
The top 10 viewed videos from the channel occupied by BTS, which also became the artist with the highest total views
Rookie groups such as LE SSERAFIM and New Jeans also doing well in terms of views despite just debuting in 2022
TXT become the artist with the most content on the channel

From year to year views count, 2020 became the peak time for video views

Looking back from 2020 - 2021, channels tend to post more content during Q2 or Q4 hence becoming the preferred time for releasing new music

Teaser / Trailer / Concept Film become the video category with the most views, as HYBE artists usually prepare individual teaser or concept film for each member of the group

In 2022, even though the top viewed videos are still dominated by BTS (or the members), the rookie such as LE SSERAFIM or New Jeans started to taking over

SEVENTEEN became the group that consistently put out content by posting videos each month throughout 2022, followed by &TEAM
